  The Philosophy

Microneedling in Fort Lauderdale.

At The Aesthetic Ranch, aesthetic medicine is intentional and built around long-term skin health, not surface-level fixes. When the goal is real skin change, the kind that improves quality over time, microneedling is one of the most powerful tools we use.

Our microneedling is performed with the SkinPen Precision device. A medical-grade pen creates controlled micro-channels in the skin, triggering the body's own wound-healing response. Collagen and elastin production ramp up, the deeper structural layers of your skin rebuild, and surface concerns reorganize from within.

Treat the foundation. The surface follows.

This is an inside-out approach. Rather than treating symptoms alone, microneedling resets how the skin behaves at the dermal level. The result is gradual, natural, and built to last.

  02 · How it works

Collagen induction, not surface treatment.

Each session begins with a full skin assessment. Natasha evaluates your texture, tone, history, and goals before choosing the SkinPen needle depth and the pass pattern that match your treatment area.

The SkinPen Precision device creates tens of thousands of tiny, controlled channels in the skin. These channels heal within hours but leave behind a powerful biological signal that tells your body to produce more collagen and elastin. The skin remodels itself over the weeks that follow.

Natasha is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner with nine years of specialized aesthetic experience. She combines medical precision with an artistic eye to make every microneedling session safe, comfortable, and tailored to your skin.

  03 · What it treats

The long-term benefits.

Microneedling addresses surface concerns and structural quality at the same time, because the same biological response treats both. Results are gradual, natural, and compound with consistency.

i.

Refine texture & pores

Smooths uneven texture and visibly minimizes enlarged pores. The most consistent change patients notice in the first month.

ii.

Fade pigmentation

Breaks up surface discoloration and sun damage as skin renews, restoring a more even, naturally luminous tone.

iii.

Heal acne scars

Breaks down old scar tissue and fades stubborn post-acne marks by rebuilding the skin layer that was lost.

iv.

Soften fine lines

Reduces the appearance of fine lines by plumping the skin from within, working on the dermis rather than the surface.

v.

Firm & strengthen

Increased collagen and elastin production restores firmness, bounce, and structural resilience as skin matures.

vi.

Fade stretchmarks

Off-face microneedling stimulates cellular turnover to reduce the appearance of stretchmarks on the body.

  04 · Powerful pairings

Better together.

Strategic combinations multiply what microneedling does on its own. Each pairing addresses a different layer of the same biological process.

+ PRP

Microneedling & PRP.

Adding platelet-rich plasma floods the micro-channels with your body's own growth factors. Healing accelerates, collagen response deepens, and the post-treatment glow lands harder and faster than microneedling alone.

+ Sculptra

Microneedling & Sculptra.

For long-term volume and skin laxity. Sculptra rebuilds collagen structurally from beneath while microneedling refines the surface above. Texture, pores, and tone improve in parallel with the deeper rebuild.

+ Botox / Dysport

Microneedling & neurotoxin.

Address movement and skin quality in a single appointment. Botox or Dysport softens dynamic lines while microneedling improves the canvas overall. A favorite for full-face rejuvenation.

+ PDGF

Microneedling & PDGF.

A topical growth-factor serum pressed into the fresh micro-channels. PDGF supports faster recovery and amplifies the collagen and texture response, with no blood draw required. More on PDGF below.

  05 · PDGF add-on

The PDGF growth-factor add-on.

PDGF (platelet-derived growth factor) is a protein your body naturally uses to rebuild collagen and repair skin. With microneedling, we use it as a bioengineered, pharmaceutical-grade topical serum, applied to the skin during and right after your session. There's no blood draw, which is part of what sets this pairing apart from PRP and PRF.

Microneedling opens thousands of microscopic channels in the skin. Applying PDGF in that brief window helps it absorb where it can do the most good, supporting a calmer, quicker recovery and amplifying the texture, pore, and fine-line improvement microneedling already delivers.

It's an especially good fit when you want the most from a single session, or you have an event on the calendar and want to keep downtime short. A recent controlled study of topical PDGF after microneedling reported improved skin quality at 30 days with no adverse reactions, early findings, but encouraging ones.

01

Calmer recovery

Supports the skin's natural repair response, so redness and downtime tend to settle sooner.

02

Amplified results

Builds on the collagen and texture improvement microneedling drives on its own.

03

Topical & simple

Applied to the skin as a serum, with no blood draw, unlike PRP or PRF.

The PDGF microneedling add-on described here is a topical cosmetic serum applied to the skin. Individual results vary, and the right approach for your skin is confirmed with Natasha at your appointment.

The moment after
  06 · Day zero

Real medical work, in your skin.

This is what your skin looks like the moment your treatment ends. The pinpoint dermal response is not damage. It's exactly the signal we want, the SkinPen has reached the dermis, your collagen and elastin response is now activated, and the healing cascade has already begun.

By day two the redness fades. By day four the surface looks cleaner and brighter. By the end of the first week, the deeper collagen rebuild is well underway and you're seeing the start of months of skin renewal.

It looks medical because it is medical. Patient consent on file.

  07 · Day nine

Nine days later, real skin change.

The same patient, the same lighting, nine days apart. On the left, the immediate-after, the pinpoint dermal response that signals the SkinPen has reached the dermis and activated the collagen cascade. On the right, day nine, the surface reads smoother, more even, and visibly brighter.

By this point in the healing arc, the redness has fully resolved, the skin barrier has re-knit, and the deeper collagen rebuild is well underway. The visible change at day nine is real, and it continues to build over the following weeks as new collagen and elastin lay down.

This is why we recommend a series of three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart, each session compounds on the structural work of the last.

Immediate · Day 9
  08 · Day-by-day

What to expect.

Minimal downtime. Most patients return to normal routine within 24 to 48 hours. Here's exactly what the week after looks like.

i.

Day 1

Redness and warmth peak. The skin reads similar to a mild sunburn and may feel tight or slightly sensitive. This is the activated healing response, normal and expected.

Avoid heat, sweat & active skincare
ii.

Day 2 to 3

Redness fades. Some patients experience mild flaking or dryness as the skin renews. Gentle moisturizer and SPF are essential while the surface resurfaces.

Reintroduce gentle skincare only
iii.

Day 4 to 7

Most patients notice an early glow. Skin looks cleaner, brighter, and more refined as the deeper collagen response takes hold. Real change continues over the weeks that follow.

Glow visible · collagen building

For the first 24 to 48 hours, avoid intense heat (saunas, hot yoga, heavy workouts) and active skincare ingredients (retinol, exfoliating acids). Natasha sends you home with a full aftercare protocol.

  09 · The Ranch difference

Skin health, taken seriously.

Microneedling done well is one of the most rewarding treatments in aesthetic medicine. Done poorly, it can hyperpigment, scar, or fail to do anything at all. The difference comes down to depth, pattern, device, and the eye behind the pen.

Medical-grade SkinPen. We use the SkinPen Precision system, the most studied microneedling device in the United States and the one most consistently associated with safe, reproducible collagen response. No at-home rollers, no off-label devices.

Personalized depth and pattern. Skin around the eyes is not the same as skin on the jaw. Natasha adjusts depth, pressure, and pass count to the area being treated, the season, and the skin type she's working with.

A real plan, not a one-off treatment. Microneedling is a series, not a single appointment. We map a three-session start with quarterly maintenance and tell you honestly when other treatments would do more.

Frequently asked.

Answers we hear most often from new microneedling patients in Fort Lauderdale. Don't see yours? Reach out, we'll happily talk it through.

Q.01

How many microneedling sessions do I need?

+
Most patients start with a series of 3 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Many notice improvement in texture, tone, and radiance after just one session, but the collagen-building response compounds with each treatment. Once the initial series is complete, quarterly maintenance is typically recommended to protect results and support long-term skin health.
Q.02

Is there downtime after microneedling?

+
Minimal. Most patients return to normal routine within 24 to 48 hours. Day 1 you can expect redness, warmth, and slight sensitivity, similar to a mild sunburn. Day 2 to 3 redness fades and some mild flaking is normal. By Day 4 to 7 the skin looks cleaner, brighter, and more refined as collagen production ramps up.
Q.03

Can microneedling be combined with other treatments?

+
Yes. The most powerful pairings are microneedling with PRP for accelerated collagen and growth-factor delivery, microneedling with Sculptra to refine the surface while structural collagen rebuilds underneath, and microneedling with Botox or Dysport to address both skin quality and movement in a single appointment. Combination plans are built around what your skin needs at this stage.
Q.04

What does microneedling treat?

+
Microneedling addresses acne scars, surface pigmentation and sun damage, enlarged pores, fine lines, skin laxity, stretchmarks, and overall texture. By stimulating the skin's own wound-healing response, it rebuilds collagen and elastin from within rather than masking surface concerns.
Q.05

How much does microneedling cost in Fort Lauderdale?

+
Microneedling at The Aesthetic Ranch is priced per session, with package pricing available for the recommended series of three. Exact pricing depends on the session length and whether PRP, Sculptra, or other complementary treatments are paired with it. Your investment is confirmed during consultation.
Q.06

What is PDGF, and is it safe?

+
PDGF (platelet-derived growth factor) is a protein your body naturally uses to rebuild collagen and repair skin. As a microneedling add-on at The Aesthetic Ranch, it's a topical, bioengineered, pharmaceutical-grade serum applied to the skin during and after your session to support recovery and enhance results. It requires no blood draw, which is part of what distinguishes this pairing from PRP and PRF. A recent controlled study of topical PDGF after microneedling found improved skin quality at 30 days with no adverse reactions. Natasha will confirm whether it's a good fit for your skin at your appointment.
